Tarot is a wonderful reflection of life, and it can be a powerful one as well. And, I find that with readings, many times clients come in already prepared to hear what I am going to tell them. It is as though they need spiritual reinforcement. Giving negative readings can be nasty, and I sometimes think that when a reader is all gasps and shakes, he/she is full of you-know-what. The tarot should provide neutral suggestions about the future, and offer positive reinforcement. I find that if you make a reader feel positive, and take the role of "life coach," as opposed to "tarot card reader," a reading is more fulfilling as well as a great experience for the reader and client alike. Great post, and good lessons! Brightest blessings, Kiki

Yeah, I know that all too well. I don't do readings as often as I ought to, but I do know sometimes I give a reading and it gives me an answer slightly cryptic. However, afterward an entire scenario unfolds, where the answers I give are all details along the way. And before I give a reading I never seem confident that I will give a correct one, yet after I give one(even if I don't know the meanings of the cards), every person I do a reading for agrees in earnest.
